Ministry update #4

I began this New Year in Cuba visiting my family and serving the Lord by preaching, teaching, and supporting our Cuban brothers and sisters.  While I was there, the Lord woke me up in the middle of the night numerous times to speak to my heart.  He forced me to take a hard look at what in the ministry has and has not worked over the past few years.

The Lord made clear BNMI is bearing fruit in Cuba by serving in many different areas, supporting pastors, and seeing tangible results.  What He told me the time spent trying to encourage people to go to Cuba to serve is not bearing ample fruit.  Over the past two years, we’ve spent time and some of our limited financial resources reaching out, but with limited results.

Following a period of fasting and prayer, the Lord made clear to me BNMI needs to adjust focus as we move into the second half of 2018.  The board of directors agreed that while we’ll continue to encourage churches and individuals to consider Cuba as a mission’s destination, BNMI’s main focus should be to strive to raise the financial support we’ll need to continue the progress made over the past two years.

Raising money is not my strong suit; in fact, I find it very difficult to ask anyone for help for anything, especially money.  But this is not for me.  I’m asking for Him.  I’m asking for the Lord of Lord, the King of Kings, our Lord and Savior.

Our ministry needs your help.  We need your support to continue your ministry in Cuba.  Our goal is to raise $25,000.00 this year to forward the gospel of Jesus Christ to the Cuban people.

What does this look like?  How can you help?  Here are some examples.

A twelve-month recurring commitment of $35.00 per month donation will help support a pastor or missionary and his family.

A $50.00 per month recurring donation will help supply weekly food supplements for the elderly and infirmed in a community, enabled through a partnership with Church of God of the Prophesy.

A $100.00 per month recurring donation will help supply weekly food supplements for Mercy of Hope ministries.

All one-time donations will be placed in BNMI’s general contribution account to be used to fulfill one of BNMI sponsored projects, projects that include:

  • Drum set for a church in Justi (THIS PROJECT HAS BEEN FULLY FUNDED)
  • Hope center for counseling and restoration
  • Fish Project, a fish farm growing fish for the community and for revenue
  • Sponsorships for people unable to afford the mission’s trip
  • General non-specified donation will be used for buying church members items such as over the counter medications and toiletries

Our ministry began 2018 with a partnership goal of $25,000.00 to help our brothers and sisters in their fight to serve the many needs of the Cuban people.  We now humbly ask that you consider partnering with us in this effort.  Whether it be by prayers, financial donation, or both, the needs are great.  There’s much work to be done.

On behalf of Bridging the Nations Ministries, I say thank you for your support.

We are a faith-based ministry – We do not and will not actively solicit support for the operational needs of the ministry, only for the mission’s work or other special projects.

100% of the pastoral sponsorships we collect will ALWAYS go to pastoral support, not to the running of the ministry itself.

When the ministry has a need for funding, we go to God with that need, knowing He is the one who meets our needs.
